On Monday, Lamese Khoury, a 32-year-old woman, was released on bail after her arrest on suspicion of DUI, animal abuse, and possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to a tweet by KTVU reporter Henry K. Lee. Khoury had crashed her Volvo V70 near Stanley & Bernal, injuring her dog’s face and legs, as reported by the Pleasanton Police Department.

The incident began last week when officers responded to a solo car crash on Stanley Blvd, as tweeted by the Pleasanton Police Department. After performing standardized field sobriety tests, officers determined Khoury to be under the influence of drugs. Further investigation revealed that Khoury had a fanny pack containing over 50 grams of methamphetamine, and 60 grams of fentanyl. Subsequently, she was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

In addition to the DUI charges, and drug possession, Khoury faces animal abuse charges due to the injuries sustained by her dog during the crash.
