The Parks and Wildlife Service has issued an alert for those in Torndirrup National Park and Little Grove after plumes of smoke from a prescribed burn in the Torndirrup National Park filled the clear blue sky.
The smoke was first reported at 2.06pm this afternoon and is expected to clear this evening.
Those in the affected area are advised to shut any doors and windows, turn off air conditioners, watch for emergency services personnel, and follow their directions.
If driving, keep headlights on and drive slowly unless you cannot see clearly in which case pull over and wait for the smoke to clear with your headlights and hazard lights on.
Anyone suffering from asthma and pre-existing respiratory or cardiovascular illnesses should follow their pre-prepared treatment plan.

Parks and Wildlife Service officers will continue to monitor the prescribed burn over the weekend.
