You can now grab the opportunity to cycle the Kolitmara-to-Kunwara Bhivsen stretch of Pench National Park
Known for its population of tigers, leopards and sloth bears and a wide variety of bird species, Pench Tiger Reserve falls in both Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Now the part of the national park that is in Maharashtra is offering visitors a new way to experience the wilderness. In addition to the jeep and Canter safaris that have always been offered, a new attraction is being offered in the Kolitmara area in West Pench. The new cycle safari will afford visitors the opportunity to have an adventure with a difference and in a way that does not negatively impact the forest ecosystem.
Eighty cyclists of all age groups took part in the inaugural run on August 20, 2023.

The safari by cycle is being offered on the Kolitmara-to-Kunwara Bhivsen stretch. This route is 48 kilometres long and will take the cyclists through the forested areas of Narhar, Banera and Chargaon. This route works for both humans and the wildlife because it does not go through the core areas of Pench National Park. Perfect for activities such as cycling, Kolitmara, on the banks of the Pench River, is scenic and peaceful.
Details You Need To Know
Each safari group will consist of between two and six people, led by an experienced guide. The shared guide fee is Rs 1,000, while cycle fees are Rs 100 if you bring your own cycle and Rs 300 for a cycle hired from Pench Tiger Reserve.
