Paris: The Abandoned Pit Bull
Recently, we found Paris, an abandoned Pit Bull, hiding under a car for an entire day. Her fearful behavior raised concerns about potential injuries. Approaching her slowly, I watched as she retreated, but with patience, I was able to connect with her. The joy of her rescue is captured in a heartwarming video that ends with the French National Anthem and a sweet French kiss. It’s a reminder of the happiness we strive to bring to these precious lives. Thank you to our donors who make these rescues possible!
G.I. Jane: The Desert Survivor
G.I. Jane’s story is one of survival against the odds. Living in the desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, she fought for her life every day. With the kindness of nurse Erica Tagalicud and the G.I. Joes who left food for her, Jane survived until we received a call for help. After a long drive and careful planning, I set up traps to catch her. With patience and the right approach, I was finally able to secure her. Each moment spent gaining her trust was incredibly rewarding.
Milton: The Resilient Senior Dog
Milton, a senior dog found with a severe injury, was almost beyond hope. With an infected wound, a large tumor, and pneumonia, he faced daunting challenges. Fortunately, our amazing medical team at CARES nursed him back to health. His recovery is a testament to the impact of our supporters’ donations, allowing us to provide the care he desperately needed. Milton is currently being fostered by Maison Sûre, and we’re hopeful he’ll find a loving forever home soon.
Champ: A Triumph of Hope
Champ’s rescue video is especially poignant for me. His severe injury echoed my father’s story of resilience after a life-changing accident. Champ, who was found with a severe leg injury, allowed me to comfort him, showcasing the trust that can develop even in the toughest circumstances. His journey from injury to recovery is a powerful reminder of the strength of both animals and humans.
Pixi: The Unique Kitten
Pixi, a rare heterochromatic kitten, was another heartwarming rescue. With no prior human contact, I approached him cautiously to avoid startling him. After his rescue, he met Dutch, a Xoloitzcuintli, and the two shared a delightful snack together. Pixi is now being fostered at Purrmaid Cafe, where he awaits a loving forever home.
Mickey and Minnie: A Bonding Rescue
Mickey, a dog with an embedded collar, and his friend Minnie were living under a car alongside a sick cat named Mortimer. It took time and clever methods to capture them, especially since Mickey was frightened and nervous. After the rescue, our dedicated team ensured they received the necessary medical care. They are currently being fostered until they can find their forever homes.
Mr. Grey: Urgent Help Needed
Mr. Grey, a homeless cat with a facial injury, was in dire need of our assistance. Every rescue emphasizes the importance of our donors’ support, enabling us to provide urgent medical care and the hope of recovery for these animals in need.
